“faqs”: [
{
“question”: “What makes semi-permanent colors different from those of other brands?”,
“answer”: “What makes our semi-permanent colors different from those of other brands is the consistency and vibrancy. Our exclusive creamy viscosity makes application and hair saturation easier, which also means you use less product for full coverage. Additionally, all our colors are highly pigmented, giving them a bold vibrancy. Even our pastel colors have a strong character.”
},
{
“question”: “How long should I wait to wash my hair after it has been colored?”,
“answer”: “For maximum longevity, it is recommended to wait 2-4 days after a semi-permanent coloring service before shampooing.”
},
{
“question”: “Is it necessary to pre-lighten the hair to apply Danger Jones semi-permanent colors?”,
“answer”: “To achieve more vibrant color results, we recommend pre-lightening (bleaching) the hair before applying our semi-permanent dyes. Use the color chart on the back of the package to decide how much to lighten for maximum vibrancy and which colors best suit different hair color levels. Be sure to shampoo thoroughly and rinse out all the bleach. Any residue left on the hair will compromise the color results.”
},
{
“question”: “Do I need to use a developer/activator to mix the colors?”,
“answer”: “No. Danger Jones semi-permanent dyes are used directly from the tubes and applied directly to clean, dry hair.”
},
{
“question”: “Can Danger Jones semi-permanent colors be mixed?”,
“answer”: “Yes. All colors can be mixed together to achieve custom color results. Be creative!”
},
{
“question”: “How is Clear used?”,
“answer”: “Clear can be used in three ways: to add shine, to dilute, or to fade a bright color into blonde or lighter ends. When using it to dilute darker colors, start with Clear and then slowly add the darker color to pastelize. Clear can also be used alone to add shine and condition all hair colors and textures. Use Clear alone to create a color transition from a deeper color to blonde or lighter ends.”
},
{
“question”: “Are there UV-reactive colors?”,
“answer”: “Yes, we have 5 UV-reactive colors that glow under black light: Ray Gun (neon yellow), Adrenaline (neon green), Lovesick (neon pink), Hotwire (neon orange), and Vertigo (neon blue). Vertigo has the weakest UV reaction because it’s blue, the darkest of the primary colors, and black light emits a blue-violet UVB light, so there aren’t enough blue color phosphors available to reflect the electrons. The UV reaction of these colors loses intensity when mixed with non-reactive colors.”
},
{
“question”: “Can I mix a bond builder with Danger Jones semi-permanent colors?”,
“answer”: “Yes, you can add a liquid bond builder to our semi-permanent colors. Follow the bond builder’s mixing instructions.”
},
{
“question”: “How long can I expect my semi-permanent color to last?”,
“answer”: “People ask how long they last, but we like to say how they fade… because they’re designed to fade. What makes our colors different is that they fade into lighter pastel versions of themselves. Lighter tones can last up to 20 washes. Deeper tones can last up to 40 washes. *Of course, it all depends on application and home care.”
},
{
“question”: “How can I extend the life of my color?”,
“answer”: “To extend the life of the color, shampoo no more than twice a week using cool water and color-safe shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo only on the scalp/roots and let the shampoo rinse through the rest of the hair. Dry shampoo is also recommended between washes. Avoid using hot water, chlorinated pools/hot tubs, sea/lake water, and direct sunlight for long periods of time. If you use well water, a shower filter will also prevent mineral deposits in the hair from altering the color.”
